Writing Team Honored with Croes Medal

ASCE has honored the writing team of Khalid A. Alshibli, Ph.D., P.E., M.ASCE; Riyadh I. Al-Raoush; Andrew Druckrey;and Maha F. Jarrar, A.M.ASCE, with the 2018 J. James R. Croes Medal for the paper “Influence of Particle Morphology on 3D Kinematic Behavior and Strain Localization of Sheared Sand,” Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, February 2017.

Khalid Alshibli is a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Tennessee; Maha Jarrar works in Cambridge, MA; Andrew Druckrey works in Peoria, IL; and Riyadh Al-Raoush is an associate professor in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering at Qatar University.

The J. James R. Croes Medal is presented to the author or authors of a paper that is judged worthy of the award and to be next in order of merit to the paper to which the Norman Medal is awarded.
