Orange County Branch members volunteered at the San Diego Safari Park to retrofit the barriers to the existing Gorilla Bridge. The bridge, originally built to carry a monorail through the park, is being repurposed for pedestrian and small-vehicle use.

The project was made possible in part by Flatiron Construction, which donated expertise on the vehicle barrier installation, Scott Fence for providing direction on the pedestrian barrier installation, and Jason Fix for coordinating the event.

The members who joined in on the effort include,  Lenard Tran, Ashley Pham, Christina Hanna, Andres Lozano, Shannon Davis, Keenan Do, Gabi Brocklehurst, Chirath “Chuck” Karunathilake, Jason Fix, David Fix, Cindy Fix and Greg Henk.
