President-Elect, K.N. Gunalan, PH.D., P.E., D.GE, F.ASCE, visited students of the Missouri S&T College of Engineering and Computing to discuss current and future infrastructure challenges that our society faces. Gunalan spoke about the challenges humanity faces in investing and maintaining infrastructure to maintain the quality of life in the United States and globally as the world population is projected to surpass 9 billion by 2050. The Missouri Society of Professional Engineers, ASCE, and Missouri S&T’s College of Engineering and Computing sponsored the event. The Missouri S&T Student Chapter hosted the guest lecture.
