There are countless ways for members to promote the profession through their involvement with ASCE. Organizing Engineers Week activities, participating in the Legislative Fly In, visiting a classroom or writing a letter to the editor are just a few.  But giving your time is not the only way to make a difference.

ASCE Foundation supporters have been promoting the profession through their philanthropy for the past twenty years.  As a result, each year the Foundation makes an annual grant of more than $1 million to ASCE, which supports hallmark programs such as the National Concrete Canoe Competition, the Report Card for America’s Infrastructure, Engineers Week, and many more, each of which makes a big impact on promoting civil engineering and ASCE.

The Foundation would like to thank each and every supporter who generously contributed this past year.  Our loyal supporters pay it forward to the next generation of civil engineers, and continue to advance the profession into the future.  The philanthropic support of ASCE members helps to ensure a bright future for civil engineering, and has allowed the Foundation to provide more than $20 million to ASCE throughout the years.

If you have been interested in helping to promote the profession, but just haven’t been able to find the time, consider joining the thousands of civil engineers who express their investment in the profession by making annual contributions to the Foundation above and beyond their dues to ASCE. A gift to support the work of promoting civil engineering is a powerful way to demonstrate your dedication, and a great first step towards telling the story of your chosen profession.
