Michael J. Dellies, P.E., F.ASCE, director of water resources at Dunaway Associates L.P. in Fort Worth, TX, and a certified floodplain manager, has been named a Fellow by the ASCE Board of Direction.
With more than 32 years of experience, Dellies provides advice and guidance on a wide range of drainage-related projects to a variety of public and private clients throughout the north central Texas and central Oklahoma areas. He specializes in stormwater drainage and floodplain management, including hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and design of storm drain systems, two-dimensional flow analysis, floodplain modeling, erosion protection, watershed master planning, stream restoration, and streambank stabilization.
Dellies has been a member of ASCE since 1983. He is also a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, twice being selected as Engineer of the Year by local Texas chapters, and a member of Chi Epsilon Engineering Honor Society. He is a licensed professional engineer in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Florida. An active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and the Knights of Columbus, he also serves on the building master plan committee and mission team at his church.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
