If you are a regular visitor to ASCE’s website, you may notice something different – it’s changed!

You told us what you want and we listened. We’ve given the site a modern responsive design, making it fully accessible and optimized for all screen sizes and devices. So whether you’re at your desk, in the field, or on the subway, you’ll get the information you need faster and easier.

Here are some of the changes you’ll find on the new site:

  • Need information fast but you’re not sure where to look? With the new and improved search function, you can filter by ASCE web property, technical area, date, or product type. With the new website, you’re one click away from all of ASCE’s publications, conferences, continuing education, and institute information.
  • Looking for information in a technical area? New Technical Areas, corresponding to major civil engineering disciplines, will highlight current activities and present an aggregate collection of ASCE products and content about that topic. It’s our way to help you stay current and informed on the technical developments that matter most to your work.
  • Want to find a local group, participate in a committee, do K-12 outreach, or get involved in advocacy programs? We’ve put our membership information together with information about all the ways people can get involved with ASCE. Since we know that members are most active at the local level, we added a feature that will make it easy for people to find a local Section or Branch just by entering their zip code. You’re then taken to a list of the nearest Sections and/or Branches, and Younger Member Groups.
  • How about information pertaining to your professional development? Whether you are a student looking for a group on campus, a licensed engineer who needs PDHs (Professional Development Hours), or a young engineer looking for a job, the website has an Education & Careers area that shows all our offerings in one place. Here you can find valuable information about undergraduate and graduate student groups, preparation for licensing exams, specialty certifications, continuing education, mentoring, and leadership training.

The most significant feature of this new site may be what you don’t see – it’s designed to be nimble and responsive. We know that your needs change over time, as does technology. We will monitor how members like yourself use this new site, analyze the feedback you provide us, and then focus our attention on continually evolving the content and features that help you advance your career and get the most out of your ASCE membership.

  • The new improvements to the ASCE site are outstanding and working with Civil Engineers everyday helps me keep up on all the cutting edge and stories in the industry.

I recommend all the Civil Engineers I place in jobs around the country to join and use all the resources of ASCE.

    Great Job Done!
